SMS Park in short
Our easy-to-use parking service allows you to only pay for the actual time your car is parked. There are two ways to start your parking, either by text message or by our app. In order to park by text message, you need a Swedish social security number. Otherwise, our app is the way to go.
All of your parking purchases made in a month will be invoiced at the beginning of next month. E.g.: All parking done in January will be billed at the beginning of February.
The SMS Park app is developed to make parking effortless and stress free. We want it to
be easy for you to find, extend, and to pay for your parking – no matter where you are.
There are two ways to activate a valid parking ticket with SMS Park – either by our app
or by text message.
Parking by app
Our app is available on iOS, Android and Windows. Using the app makes it quick and easy
to start or cancel your parking with the use of a single button. When using the app, you
set a preliminary parking time that can be prolonged or cancelled in advance if needed.
All you need to do is to fill in the valid zone code, your license plate number and your
preliminary parking time and press start. It’s as easy as that!
You will only be billed if you’ve parked during the previous month.
Parking by text message
Please note: In order to park by text message, you need to have a Swedish social security number.
To start your parking
Send a text message with the valid zone code, your license plate number and your social
security number to 0700- 40 40 40. Your digital parking ticket is only active once you’ve
received a confirmation by text. Please note that you do not have a valid parking ticket unless
you’ve received the confirmation saying so.
To end your parking
Send a text message with the text AVSLUTA to 0700 – 40 40 40. You’ll receive a text message
confirming that you parking has ended.
The valid zone code can be found on our instruction signs at the parking lot or in our app.

If you don’t have a Swedish social security number, you need to download the app. When you open the app, press “Non-Swedish citizen?” and register using your e-mail address and mobile number. Once you’ve registered a payment card, you’re good to go. Payment will be made automatically, and your invoice will be sent to the registered email.
All purchases made during one calendar month will be collected and invoiced at
the beginning of the following month. We offer several different payment methods.
Unless an active choice is made, a paper invoice will be sent by post to your registered
address. The paper invoice comes with a billing fee of 25 SEK. You can choose your
payment method by logging into your online account.
Please note: If you’re not a Swedish citizen, the only option available is to register a card for automatic payment.
Invoice or card payment
You choose whether you would like to receive your invoice by post, through text
message, or e-mail. If you’d like your payments to be made automatically, you can
register a payment/debit card. Your registered Visa or MasterCard will be charged
monthly for your parking done the previous month.
Your payment card is securely stored with DIBS Payment Services/Stripe.
SMS Park always has the same rates as the parking meter. However, in some areas
there may be an added service fee. The service fee varies between 0.5 and 5 SEK.
SMS Park is available in numerous locations throughout Sweden – keep a lookout for
our signs when you park, or have a look in our app to see where you can use our service.
Collected Invoice – No more receipts or private expenses
By using SMS Park, your company will receive an invoice the month after the service
has been used. This invoice contains all parking purchases made by your employees.
This will decrease the administrative load and make it easier for all of your employees.
You can choose to receive your invoices either by mail or e-mail.
As a business user, you’ll save money as you’re only paying for the actual parking time.
It allows for your employees to do their errands without worrying about parking tickets.
Fees for SMS Park’s Business Service
Entry fee: 399 SEK (one-time payment)
Administration fee: From 49 SEK per user*
Paper invoice: 25 SEK
E-mail invoice: 0 SEK
* The administration fee is monthly and is charged during one calendar month.
This is how it works
You may choose between connecting your company’s license plate numbers or selected
phone numbers to the account. We will send you information to give to your employees
about downloading and using the SMS Park app. All parking purchased from a connected
phone number or for a connected license plate will be charged to the company. Once your
employees are connected to your business account, they can start using the service.
The same device can be used for purchases of parking regardless of whether your parking
is done while at work or in your private life.
Just remember to press the “Business account” button in the app before starting your parking.
You can also start your parking by text message. Simply send a text message containing the
valid zone code and your license plate number to 0700 – 40 40 40. To cancel your parking,

How will the parking attendant know that I have used SMS Park?
The parking attendant controls your payment through SMS Park by using a palm computer
connected to our system. Because of this, it’s important that the right license plate number
and zone code are stated when starting your parking.
Can I park privately using my work phone?
Well of course you can! SMS Park will never charge you through your phone bill.
Our invoices are always issued to your social security number. Did you know that we

How do I obtain a new password for the app or website?
To get a new password, send a text message with NYTT followed by your social security
number to 0700 – 40 40 40. Example: NYTT YYMMDDXXXX

Can I park more than one vehicle simultaneously?
No problem. Keep in mind that you’ll need to specify what parking you are cancelling.
You do so either by texting AVSLUTA followed by the license plate number,
e.g.: AVSLUTA ABC123, or by the app.
Can I park someone else’s car?
Our invoices are always issued to your social security number. This means that it
does not matter what car you’re driving at that moment. You specify the license plate
number when starting your parking.
Where do I find the SMS Park app?
Our app can be found at App Store, Google Play or Microsoft Store depending on
what phone you’re using. It’s free and you’ll find it by searching for SMS Park.

What will happen if my phone dies before I’ve had the chance to cancel my parking?
No worries whatsoever! Not only can you start and cancel your parking through
our website, you’re also more than welcome to contact our customer services for

How do I pay?
We invoice monthly, either by SMS (0 SEK), E-mail (0 SEK), or paper (25 SEK). You may
also connect your Visa or MasterCard for automatic payment (0 SEK). By logging on to our

Why won’t you just charge me through my phone bill?
For us to be able to do so, you would need to install separate software in order to use our
service. In addition to this, you would need to use a phone with a contract. We don’t want
things to be this complicated. It’s important for us that our service is easy to use, without
the need for pre-registration.
Where can I find my invoice?
Log in to “Mina sidor” on our website and find your invoices and parking receipts. Bear in
mind that your invoice won’t appear on the website until the beginning of the following month.
How do I change my payment method?
Log on to our website to choose your payment method. When cancelling your first parking,
you received a password to use for the website.
When will I receive my invoice?
An invoice containing all parking done during one calendar month will be sent to you at the
beginning of the following month. Because of this, you won’t need to receive an invoice after
each parking. Awesome! E.g.: All parking done in January will be billed at the beginning
How do I start parking via the app?
Nice to see that you’ve downloaded our app! Definitely a smart move! With the app, you’re in
full control of your parking. To park using the app, start by selecting your vehicle and filling in
your license plate number. Then select the parking zone. Set a preliminary end time with the
blue time strip. Then click on “Start parking”. To extend a parking time you can select the ticket
and adjust the end time. To end your parking, just click the “End” button in the ticket. We’d love

Can I add several cars to park using the app?
Yes! You can have several vehicles on your list. Just make sure that you start the parking with
the right vehicle! Click here to read about choosing your car.
I can’t log in as I don’t have a password.
You can reset your password here, via email or SMS. In order to reset your password via email,
your email address needs to match the one you stated previously. To reset your password via SMS,
the telephone number you text from needs to be the primary contact number in your account. If you
are unable to reset your password by email or SMS, please contact our customer services.
Do I need a sticker to show that I’ve parked using SMS Park?
Nope. Using a nice little palm computer, the parking attendant can search for your license plate
number in order to check that you have paid for your parking with SMS Park. So no need for a sticker.
How do I start/end parking by text message?
To start your parking by text message
- Send a text stating “zone code license plate number social security number” to 0700-40 40 40.
The zone code is a number that can be found on our stickers and signs and that identifies a
particular parking lot.
- You will immediately receive a text message confirmation that your parking has started. Note
that your parking is valid only once you have received this SMS confirmation.
To end your parking by text message
- Send a text message with “end” to 0700-40 40 40.
- You will immediately receive a text message confirmation that your parking has ended,
including your fee and other info. Note that your parking has not ended until you have received
this SMS confirmation.
How do I pay for parking done by text message?
With us you pay monthly. We have several options as to how you can receive your bill, or if you
would rather connect your credit/debit card. If you don’t make an active choice, you’ll receive a
paper invoice (25kr) by default. You can log in to Mina sidor and select the option that suits you best.
Your registered Visa or MasterCard will be charged monthly for your parking done the previous
month. As soon as this is done, you’ll receive a receipt at the email address you signed up with.
You receive an invoice by email. This also specifies where and when you have parked.
You’ll receive all the information you need to be able to pay for your parking in the same way as
you pay a normal invoice. Please note that this kind of invoice does not indicate any specific
information as to where and when you parked. You need to log in to Mina sidor to find this information.
How do I pay a parking fine?
On the yellow parking ticket there is an OCR reference number you need to state when making
the payment. If you have received a parking ticket, it has not come from SMS Park. The issuer is
stated on the ticket, and you need to contact the issuer if you have questions about the fine.
Why do you use monthly payment?
Collecting all your parking payments into one monthly payment allows us to keep transaction costs
down, and thereby maintain a low-cost service for our customers. On top of this, many customers find
it advantageous to receive a monthly breakdown of their parking costs when paying. This way, when
you park in a given month, you will not pay until the beginning of the following month.
